The Oklahoma City Thunder’s new season is off to an injury plagued start. Superstar point guard Russell Westbrook fractured his hand in last night’s gameĀ against the Los Angeles Clippers and will be out at least a month.

According to NewsOK, Westbrook fractured the second metacarpal in his right hand, which is his shooting hand. He injured the hand after crashing into the back of teammate Kendrick Perkins while going for an offensive rebound in the second quarter.

This means both OKC superstars are down, with Kevin Durant having suffered a broken bone in his right foot that required surgery a couple of weeks ago. If their recoveries go as planned, Westbrook and Durant will return to the court around the same time.

The Thunder lost last night’s game 93-90.
