The River and Reader To Reader @ The Carle

Literacy is key to a kid’s future success. The more books we read to our kids, the better. But there are many communities where kids don’t have access to a lot of books. This September 20th we’re asking your help to fill a school bus with children’s books. The Book Bus!

Thanks ks to everyone who donated at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art

Reader to Reader, an Amherst organization that will bring the books to schools and libraries in Springfield and Worcester that need more children’s books.

Schedule of authors and illustrators:

11:30 – Newberry Medal-winning author Grace Lin

12:30 – National Book Award-winner Jeanne Birdsall

1:30 – Author/Illustrator David Hyde Costello

PLUS:

  • Movies inside the Carle.
  • Lunch from Foley’s Franks, the area’s only hot dog cart with vegan options!
  • Playing on the big green lawn – bubbles, beach balls, bean bags…

The Book Bus. Saturday September 20th at the Carle. This is what a Riverlution is all about!

Supported by the Carle; with help from the Montague Book Mill, AXIA Insurance and the Cup and Top Cafe.
