Hot on the heels of Australia’s 6-1 One Day International series defeat of England, coverage of the sixth edition of the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy begins tonight when host nation South Africa takes on Sri Lanka from 10.30pm AEST Live on FOX Sports 3.
Australia are the current holders of the Champions Trophy, having defeated the West Indies in a rain-affected final when the tournament was last contested in 2006 in India.
The channel has live coverage of 12 of the 15 matches in the tournament, including all three of Australia’s qualifying matches plus the Semi-finals and Final.
Ricky Ponting’s men will play the West Indies, India and Pakistan in their three qualifying matches. Australia’s opening clash, against the West Indies this Saturday night, is Live on FOX Sports 1 from 5.30pm AEST.
