Kent Denver ice hockey tops Valor in comeback victory

KUSA –The Kent Denver Sun Devils hockey team entered Thursday’s game winless with a 0-4 record and with only two goals scored all season. Against Valor Christian, however, the Sun Devils scored a total of 5 goals and 4 in the 3rd period in a come-from-behind victory.

Kent Denver turned into a completely different team in the third period and scored goal after goal to top Valor 5-4 and earn its first win of the season.

Kent Denver’s goalie Parker Evans started his second game of the year due to a meniscus injury to starting goalie Jack Friedman. Before the game even started, Evans told his team to score 5 goals and that he’ll take care of the rest. The Sun Devils did exactly that and executed in the final period.

Kent Denver will play Monarch on Friday, December 19th at Boulder Valley at 7:30pm, while Valor will get set to play Air Academy on Saturday, December 20th at 8:50pm at Ice Ranch.
