Thackeray was addressing a meeting of local MNS leaders in the city on Saturday in the view of party’s poor performance in the state Assembly elections.

Thackeray asked his party leaders to increase communication with the people. He said, “People had expectation from us. People thought we would deliver something different, something good. But I found that most of you continued to do the same old type of works like distribution of note books and blood donation camps. If we do not deliver something different, people will not support us. People have not gone away from you. But you have reduced communication with people. Do not work for votes. Work for the people and win their hearts.”

Festive offer

Thackeray also hinted at changes in the party leadership in Pune within the next 15 days. Thackeray said he would not tolerate any kind of indiscipline in the party. He said that he would be meeting party workers every month.

Senior MNS leaders including Rajan Shirodkar, Aditya Shirodkar, Avinash Abhyankar, Anil Shidore and others were present on the occasion.

Raj Thackeray is, thus, touring the state to meet the party leaders and workers in order to strengthen the party. After Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, he will be taking a review of the situation in Nashik and Aurangabad. Then he will be spending three days each in the remaining districts for organisational work during the next 45 days.
