More than P50,000 worth of appliances were stolen by burglars who broke into a school for children with special needs in barangay Poblacion Occidental in Consolacion town last Monday.

Police said Emily Gonzales, one of the teachers of Consolacion Central Special Education School, reported the incident.

Gonzales said she arrived at the school and discovered that one of the rooms was opened. Among those missing were a computer monitor, a 30-inch television set and two DVD players. The classroom’s jalousy was broken.

PO2 Richie Gapo, chief investigator of the Consolacion Municipal Police Office, said the security guard is stationed far away from the classroom.
