A Monday evening with an embarrassment of riches:

Belle & Sebastian do the first of two special nights at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. The Scottish indie-pop band have been working on a new album and just saw their catalog reissued on vinyl.
‣ Seventeen-year-old Lorde [pictured], most recently getting attention for her contributions to “The Hunger Games'” new soundtrack, headlines the Greek Theatre, supported by Majical Cloudz.
‣ Australian indie-rock quintet Boy & Bear hold forth at the Fonda Theatre.
Justin Townes Earle visits the El Rey Theatre behind his new album “Single Mothers,” with American Aquarium supporting.
‣ Guitar-pickin’ master Dave Rawlings, the longtime collaborator of Gillian Welch, brings his Dave Rawlings Machine to the Cathedral Sanctuary at Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
‣ Fresh from the Desert Stars Festival, Mark Gardener (of Ride) does a show at Harvard & Stone, along with Souvenir Driver.
Dorothy is the big attraction at It’s a School Night at Bardot, where Aaron Behrens & the Midnight Stroll (side project of the lead singer of Ghostland Observatory), James Davis and Mainland also perform.
‣ And a new batch of Monday night residencies get under way, so here’s where to get your free fun: Dream Boys [see “Positive Arguments”] are at the Echo, supported by L.A. Takedown, Bouquet and Daydreams; Planets bring their audacious live show to the Satellite, joined by Little Barrie, Wasi and Bones at the Satellite; Aeges are the residents at the Silverlake Lounge, supported by Mossbreaker, Dekades and Open Hand; and electron-folk quartet Magic Giant do it up right at the Bootleg Hi Fi, along with Kingdoms, Phebe Starr and 7Lions.
