The European Union’s deteriorating relationship with Russia has placed the Greek government in an increasingly difficult position and opened it up to criticism from SYRIZA.

Russia’s recent decision to place a ban on food imports from the EU left Greek fruit producers facing significant losses. The Commission is due to announce on Friday whether they will receive any compensation.
