Travis Irving, a driver from Corona, won a pair of NASCAR Late Model races at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale on Saturday night.

Irving’s win in the first race snapped the four-race win streak of Mike Johnson, a driver from Covina.

Nick Joanides of Woodland Hills, the leader in the Late Model standings at the track, posted a couple of top-five finishes in the races. He was second in the first race and fourth in the second. He has a 34-point lead over Tim Huddleston of Agoura Hills, the reigning Late Model champ at Irwindale, with two races remaining.

Joandies won the NASCAR Super Late Model championship at the track last week and could become the first driver in track history to win the Super Late Model and Late Model championship in the same season.
