Yesterday marked the beginning of Fall 2014 Couture week in Paris, and when there’s fashion you can bet there is going to be a selection of fashionable A-listers sitting front row with editors and stylists. When it comes to couture, it’s rare to see the incredible craftsmanship off the runway. So when we see celebrities wearing couture on the red carpet, we can’t help but get excited. From Rihanna’s sexy lingerie look by Ulyana Sergeenko to Diane Kruger’s gown fit for a princess by Elie Saab, we celebrate the start of Fall 2014 Couture week by looking back at 15 of our favourite celebrities wearing couture from the Spring 2014 Couture shows.

The Chanel Spring 2014 Couture collection presented us with an array of iridescent and corset goodness, and judging by how many actresses donned the label’s couture pieces this year, it seems like the collection was a hit among the Hollywood elite, too. Keira Knightley, Dakota Fanning and Blake Lively (who looks like she should star in the upcoming adaptation of The Little Mermaid) were no doubt stunning in each of their Chanel looks, but it was Kristen Stewart who really made jaws drop. Being the most recent actress added to the lengthy list of Chanel ambassadors, she has already been seen working two Chanel looks this year. While she opted for darker piece that matched her broody personality at the Met Gala this past May, Stewart worked the athletic trend at the premiere of her film Clouds of Sils Maria during the Cannes Film Festival, sneakers and all! Since the Chanel show takes place tomorrow, we’re crossing our fingers (and toes!) hoping to see the actress arrive looking this good again.

While this gallery is mainly made up of celebrities in Spring 2014 Couture gowns, we couldn’t help but include Jennifer Lopez who already got the lucky opportunity to wear something from the Fall 2014 Versace Couture collection. Being a longtime fan of the brand, and wearing nothing but designs by the Italian fashion house for her recent performances, it wasn’t surprising to see the singer sitting front row, wearing a white strapless gown and jumpsuit hybrid to show her support for the designer. As far as A-list fashion goes, nothing sets our hearts a-flutter like celebrities wearing couture.
