According to the Independent.sg, senior management departures have taken place at MediaCorp.Three senior managers were also called into the HR office yesterday and told they need not serve their notice, though names were not revealed.Philip Koh, managing director of the Convergent Media Division, along with  head of strategic marketing Patrick Yong, is known to be serving their notice.MediaCorp has responded to the story, confirming the exits of both. It said that the media industry is changing, and hence, it needed to "refresh and reorganise." Here is its full statement:"The global media industry is ever changing and media companies, such as MediaCorp, have to refresh and reorganise to meet the challenges of today and the future. MediaCorp is transforming the organization towards greater customer centricity as the media consumption habits have changed. Personnel changes and rejuvenation are very much a natural part of this transformation. Messrs Patrick Yong (Head, Strategic Marketing) and Philip Koh (Managing Director, Interactive Media) are currently serving their notice periods.  We appreciate their past contributions and we wish them well in their future endeavours. Because of the reorganization, their positions will not be replaced. New hires have come on board and there will be more joining the management team in the coming months."While Marketing could not reach Koh, Yong confirmed he was serving his notice period but declined to comment further.More senior exits took place this year as well, such as head of digital enterprise Nick Fawbert, after a five month stint.*Image from Wikimedia Commons
