SOCRATIVE

You can use quizzes others have created and shared, but you must know their quiz code to import their quiz.

New feature coming soon: students can work through student-paced quiz questions in any order. They can skip a question and come back to it later.

Socrative will soon have option to tag assessments by CCSS.

Problem: can wear down device batteries quickly (in my room).

GOSOAPBOX

To create an account, go to app.gosoapbox.com

Click "Join Now"

I've used GoSoapBox to:
- poll on a topic
- poll to see how thinking changed
- analyze what was learned with discussion
- have students defend an answer
- complete review questions as a class

AURASMA

Check out these examples:

What about having a team of students create "auras" for different areas of the school? Students could add school history and facts, or their own perspectives about areas of the school.

TWITTER

Students could # questions for homework assignments, and other students could tutor via #.

Relevant TV shows could be enhanced with #.

TWITTER PLN

CONNECT WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS!
I have learned far more since creating a PLN on Twitter than I have in over a decade of school PD!

MOODLE

Tests are not too difficult to create in Moodle, but importing tests takes some time.

Once imported or created, questions can be separated and chosen by topic or standard.

Questions can be selected randomly, and you can set how students receive feedback.

TECH SUPPORTS GOOD TEACHING!

QUALITY INSTRUCTION IS ALWAYS MOST IMPORTANT
Each tool gives me a way to do what I already do . . . better.
