IRVING -- Quarterback Tony Romo was named NFC offensive player of the month on Wednesday.

During the month, Romo completed 68.6 percent of his passes for 1,550 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions.

Romo finished the last five weeks of the season, 3-2, his first winning mark in December/January with a 104.4 quarterback rating.

It's the third time Romo has won a player of the month award in his career. He wo nit in November 2006 and September 2007.
