Naming the New Meadowlands Stadium
Seems the shiny new $1.4 billion stadium at the Meadowlands doesn't have a naming-rights deal. Unless someone steps up, the new football home of the New York Giants and Jets will be called the New Meadowlands Stadium.
It's a sign of the times -- the only undeniably good thing to come out of the recession. With cash-strapped companies giving up naming rights, stadiums are reverting to their original, simpler names. Next year, for example, the stadium where the Miami Dolphins play will lose the "Land Shark" and revert to being simply "Dolphins Stadium."
Nevertheless, Page 2 hates to see billionaire football team owners suffer. So we came up with a few potential sponsors for the New Meadowlands Stadium.
