Terence Newman hurts knee, but returns

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cornerback Terence Newman left the game with an apparent left knee contusion at the start of the second half and participated in only one play. But Newman returned for the second defensive series. Newman was hurt on the first play of the second half when he was covering Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Newman limped to the sidelines and fell down in pain and trainers and doctors attended to him. Newman later went to the bench and was examined. He was walking around on the leg but appeared to have some discomfort.

Alan Ball replaced Newman.
