Lifetime‘s new docu-series featuring Whitney Houston‘s family, called The Houstons: On Our Own, debuts Oct. 24 and stars the late singer’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown.
The 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina, whose father is Bobby Brown, will be featured alongside her grandmother, Cissy Houston, uncle Gary Houston, aunt Pat Houston (who was Whitney’s manager in addition to sister-in-law) and cousin Rayah Houston. Family friend Nick Gordon rounds out the cast.
Consisting of over 14 half-hour episodes, The Houstons: On Our Own will follow the group as they attempt to move on from the loss of Whitney, who drowned in her hotel room bathtub at the Beverly Hilton on Feb. 11, just hours before she was scheduled to appear at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy Gala. The superstar, who was 48, had cocaine in her system.

Bobbi Kristina, who goes by “Krissy,” is the heir to her mother’s estate; Pat is her guardian, manager and executor, and is also an executive producer on the series.
Other executive producers are Julie Insogna-Jarrett, Seth Jarrett, Tracey Baker Simmons, Wanda Shelley as well as Lifetime’s Rob Sharenow, Gena McCarthy and Noah Pollack.The series is also produced by Jarrett Creative.
In advance of the premiere, Lifetime will air a tribute special, Remembering Whitney, on Oct. 17, featuring unseen footage of the singer as well as interviews with Bobbi Kristina and other family members.
