10 Reasons why Gay Marriage is Dangerous

10 Reasons why Gay Marriage is Dangerous:

1) Marriage will not be considered a unique natural family building institution.

2) Churches will be harassed and labeled as bigots for remaining faithful to their beliefs and reason.

3) Businesses that deal with weddings will be sued if they do not conform with this redefinition.

4) Children will grow up confused.

5) Science will be teaching falsehoods in regards to biology.

6) Psychology will have to be altered in order to avoid contradictions in studies.

7) Evolution will be questioned because same sex relations serves no biological purpose in the advancement of a species.

8.)The family will go and then society will follow.

9) Societies that have done this are now extinct.

10) All other subcultures will demand marriage under the same pretense.

  1. I think all of these reasons are based on false assumptions or are just plain false. Except 2, I think 2 is probably valid, but a good thing. Standing by hateful inequitable beliefs should be called out for what it is, but at the same time I support your right to hold such beliefs. However, I won't support subjecting children to such beliefs.

    1. You claim they are false but provide no reasoning for your claim. This invalidates your argument. The problem here is that you are indoctrinated with liberal ideas which does not let you see the entire picture. Marriage between one man and one woman is the norm in nature. Subjecting children to any other union is child abuse and deprives them of having a father and mother.

    2. Your article provides no reasoning for your claims. This invalidates your argument.
Marriage is not the norm in nature full stop. It's a concept invented by humans, and is thus entirely open to being updated by humans as we leave behind the close-minded bigotry of our past.

  2. This post illustrates the complete lack of understanding that the Catholic Church exhibits in the areas of sexuality, morality, and reality. It's this ludicrous ignorance that is driving the church to irrelevancy. Keep up the terrible work.

    1. You have not address either point which makes your statement irrelevant and just a reaffirmation of your personal liberal ideology which ignores the facts.

    1. There are so many things wrong with his speech. 1) Defending marriage is NOT codifying discrimination. Marriage has always been between a man and a woman. Just because a minority group is calling its existence discrimination does not make it so. What's ironic is that the people in this group were born of a man and woman! 2) This is an appeal to pity which adds nothing to the logical argument. 3) Of course this man is going to speak well of whoever raised him. Even children raised by a kidnapper will speak well of their caretaker despite being a kidnapper. We don't know what this man really thinks or feels inside. 4) His argument can be used to promote other forms of "unions" that use "love" as a basis for validation.

  4. 1. Marriage is not the only healthy and viable family building institution. Marriage is not natural. Marriage is a man made arrangement. Marriage did not 'begin' and/or its origins are not about 'one man and one woman'. They vary over history and the origins are property based.

2 and 3. There will be many legal battles over the issue that I would love to comment on and review.

    4. Long Division confuses children. Shakespeare confuses children. Tax law confuses children (and adults). A ridiculous number of other things in life and in reality confuse children. Are we going to ban all those things too?

    5. As in?

    6. How?

    7. The purpose of evolution is not the advancement of the species. Evolution has no purpose or goal in mind. It only describes a process that happens and how that process occurs. Question it all you like, answers will be given.

    8. The family will go where? Society doesn't follow the pattern of a small sub-group. This is a slippery slope argument and we all know how fallible such arguments are.

    9. I would love a citation on this one. And please remember that correlation does not equal causation. If this is true, then most of western Europe and Eastern Asia should be in complete breakdown, but much the opposite is the reality.

    10. Once again, slippery slope argument and definitely not verifiable or measurably accurate. And even if true, how does that count as a problem?

  5. 1) Marriage is the next rational step in a relationship, marriage will not CRUMBLE because gays get married, they haven't in NY, OR, MA, CA, IL, HI, NH, PA or any state that has marriage equality now

    2) Ok, so you got us there, you will be called bigots--which is UNFETTERED OPPOSITION to a group, like employment and public accomodations and housing protections which you folks tend to oppose..and by opposing any and all rights for LGBT people, you prove you're bigots, but I'm called disgusting, an abomination, an affront to God and much worse...so sorry for calling you bigots when you threaten us with eternal damnation

    3) If a business is open TO the public it is not allowed to discriminate AGAINST the public.

    4) Children will grow up confused--I grew up gay in a straight world, I ME I was confused about my homosexuality because people like the author didn't want gay people on TV or living a life at all. GAY CHILDREN are confused most often because of the terrible message that the surrounding society may send them...especially in more conservative areas of this country

    5) Science will be teaching falsehoods in regards to biology--This is a trick, religious people don't care about science, you just threw it in there for good measure for atheists and skeptics so they might think for not even a hot second that this MIGHt be true...good try

    6) Psychology will have to be altered in order to avoid contradictions in studies. This is so preposterous given the consensus among PRINCIPLED psychologists and sociologists that I laughed so hard I nearly fell out of my chair reading that

    7) Evolution will be questioned because same sex relations serves no biological purpose in the advancement of a species.

Evolution is questioned, and so is creation. Can't stop people from questioning what they're taught. it's impossible

8.)The family will go and then society will follow.
We heard it regarding interracial marriage and family is still thriving

    9) Societies that have done this are now extinct.
It's called THE FLOW OF HISTORY. Persia is not gone, it's Iran, Greece and Rome aren't gone either. Neither is Assyria, they decilined and gave rise to new peoples

    10) All other subcultures will demand marriage under the same pretense.
We've already dealt with polygamy and that's not my case to make

I wish Catholics had been this fervent about expelling pedophile priests from their midst as they are when they're opposing gay rights
