2015 at The Good Men Project was full of stories about masculinity in the 21st century. Here’s our thank you gift for being part of that conversation.

But perhaps of greater importance in our conversation about the changing roles of men in the 21st century are the personal stories.

Today we begin a New Year and look back at the stories from last year. We celebrate landmark stories like Marriage Equality and the Boy Scouts lift of the ban on gay scout leaders. We grieve over statistics like the number of people killed by police, the need for hashtags like #blacklivesmatter, and too many mass shootings to mention. And we ask ourselves how we can be a more powerful voice for positive change in the year to come.

But perhaps of greater importance in our conversation about the changing roles of men in the 21st century are the personal stories. And here on The Good Men Project and in this collection, Select Voices from the Conversation No One Else is Having, those are the stories we celebrate and honor.
Stories from people like our publisher, Lisa Hickey, who remembers when she realized, “I was taught to believe that the plight of women was so difficult that I failed to see that men had problems too.” Stories like Mark Greene’s essay on why the lack of platonic touch is literally killing men. Tom Fiffer’s personal story of what he should have learned about himself before embarking on marriage — twice. Each and every one of the stories we’ve included in this anthology challenges, celebrates, and explores a different aspect of our world; what we expect, what we observe, and what we hope for in masculinity today.
We designed this ebook as a resource and gift for our Premium Members only, but we loved it so much we decided to make it available to all our subscribers as our New Year’s gift. But it’s only available to non-members during the month of January, so to read all the stories get your copy now.
All of us here at The Good Men Project wish you a bright, beautiful, and bounteous 2016!
