Department of Labor tells court it will revise overtime rule (Bloomberg BNA)

July 05, 2017

The US Department of Labor told an Appeals Court last week that it plans to revise the overtime rule put in place during the Obama Administration, according to a report in Bloomberg BNA. The agency also asked the court to reaffirm it has the right to determine salary levels for overtime pay. The rule, as written, would double the salary threshold under which workers are automatically eligible for overtime to $47,000.
