Teen’s remains found near Argao beach resort

UPDATE

THE remains of a 16-year-old girl was recovered in a beach resort in Argao town in Southern Cebu at 7:00 am, Saturday.

The girl was still wearing her  school uniform when she was found by  fishermen in the area.

PO3 Benjamin Geyosaga of the Argao police precinct said that the girl left behind her school bag with a suicide note at a seawall, which was probably referring to a special someone.

Geyosaga said that residents of the area told them that the teenager reportedly jumped off on a wharf in barangay Poblacion, Argao last Wednesday.

Geyosaga said that the girl’s parents had already requested that her body be autopsied to find out if the girl was pregnant, which could have been the reason for her suicide.

The teenager was a resident of sitio Kanduran, barangay Tulic in Argao Town.
