China or Japan? Duterte picks which country he loves more

President Rodrigo Duterte has been asked which of his two neighbors he loves more, China or Japan.

But the President picked none of the two.

"Between China and Japan, I think I love the Philippines more," Duterte said in a press briefing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 as the crowd broke into an applause.

Duterte was headed to Tokyo, Japan for a three-day official visit. He just arrived from a four-day state visit in Beijing, China last week.

In the same briefing, Duterte stressed that he would not be subservient to other countries. He would only be answerable to the Filipinos.

"I am not a tuta of any country. Ang pwede lang mag-tuta sa akin ay mga Pilipino," the President said a few minutes before he was given departure honors. —ALG, GMA News
