Chuck D knows a thing or two about being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as his group Public Enemy was inducted into the hallowed institution in 2013. The baritone-voiced veteran MC voiced his displeasure over Tupac “2Pac” Shakur being included into this year’s nominees class ahead of LL Cool J and said that the Queens rapper should have been there before him.

Yesterday evening, Chuck D took to his active Twitter account and made his statement that LL Cool J should get into the Hall before 2Pac but did express a respect for the West Coast legend.

“Got forever love for PAC BUT there AINT a solo rap act that should get in the RRHOF before @llcoolj I Dont care about what naysayers think,” tweeted Chuck. Of course, Chuck received plenty of chatter from Twitter users defending the Hall’s selection of 2Pac but he was able to use class and facts to back up his argument.

“When @llcoolj entered the rap game there was NOTHING close to the blizzard he came in the game with.1 dude rearranged records & performance,” added Chuck in another tweet.

Chuck D summed up a lot of his feelings on the matter when a user challenged his views in one tweet.

Is Chuck D correct? Should LL Cool J have been nominated ahead of 2Pac? Sound off in the comments.
