SWU beach volley teams begin UniGames campaign

The men’s and women’s teams of Southwestern University (SWU) begin their title defense in the 21st Philippine University Games beach volleyball tournament on Friday at the Rizal Boulevard beach volleyball court in Dumaguete City.

The men’s team composed of Cesafi Most Valuable Player Dave Cabaron and partner Jewel Cabahug will take on Siliman University (SU), Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion (CPC) and the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) in Group A action.

The Lady Cobras, on the other hand, manned by MVP Floremel Rodriguez and Therese Rae Ramas, battle UST, Foundation University (FU) and the University of San Agustin in Group A play.

The top two teams in each group after the eliminations will play in the semifinal round on Saturday.

SWU’s beach volleyball teams are the reigning champions of the UniGames.
