Statement regarding the unanimous passage of PCB GAC 17-06 – Florida Forever.
“Today marks a new beginning for land conservation in Florida,” said Aliki Moncrief, Executive Director of Florida Conservation Voters. “Representative Matt Caldwell, Chair of the House Government Accountability Committee, has presented the public with a solid outline for protecting and enhancing our most important conservation and rural lands, waters, and neighborhood parks. More and more people continue to move to Florida each year; it’s only right we do what we can to protect these special places for future generations. Chair Caldwell’s plan is instant conservation: just add funding.”
