Roscoe, the dog found dying from heat stroke by 7 Action News reporter Kimberly Craig and a friend, is now fully recovered and looking for someone to adopt him and love him forever.

Detroit Dog Rescue is taking applications for anyone interested in adopting the young, goofy Saint Bernard mix.

He's come a long way since the day Craig and Sandra Abrahamian spotted the dog after he had collapsed.

"You could tell he was pretty close to death," said Abrahamian.

The dog was suffering from heat stroke after his owner tried walking him one to two miles from her old home to her new home on Detroit's east side.

The woman said she didn't want him anymore, and told Abrahamian and Craig they could take the dog she said was named "Bosco."

Craig and Abrahamian turned the Saint Bernard mix over to Detroit Dog Rescue at one of their emergency veterinarians. He was given the critical care he needed to survive, and he was renamed Roscoe. A new name for his new life.

Roscoe has turned into a loving dog who loves being inside where it's cool. We're told he likes lounging around, being playful and getting belly rubs.

If you think you could give Roscoe the love and care he deserves, click here to fill out an application through Detroit Dog Rescue.
