Tyshawn R. Nelson of Centre County faces charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats in connection with the incident that occurred in Export on Oct. 18, 2017.

State police on Thursday arrested a Centre County man on charges of assaulting an Export woman and fracturing her eye socket.

Tyshawn R. Nelson faces charges of aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment in connection with the incident that occurred about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the woman's Madison Avenue apartment.

The victim told troopers that the pair were arguing and Nelson struck her in the left eye and stomach.

Nelson told the woman before he left that if she told anyone, “he would kill her,” Trooper Anthony Baum reported in an affidavit of probable cause filed before Export District Judge Charles Conway.

Nelson was arraigned before Conway and ordered held in the Westmoreland County Prison after failing to post $33,000 bond.
