DJ Akademiks might not be as soft as Joe Budden says he is, this after the media personality clapped back at Vic Mensa. Since the Chicago artist’s appearance on Budden and Akademik’s Everday Struggle show with Complex, things between the two have been less than rosy.

Mensa was a recent guest the Desus & Mero show, where he continued his verbal assault on Akademiks. The start of their ongoing row began when Mensa sat down with the Everday Struggle squad in June and unleashed a tirade of expletives and other unpleasant terms. He turned up the heat once more with the D&M gang during their “Rainbow” segment and referring to his media rival by spelling “F*ck DJ Wackademiks.”

DJ Akademiks addressed the jab, saying that all he’s been seeing is Mensa throwing shots about the interview instead of promoting his upcoming album, The Autobiography. After ES co-host Nadeska Alexis threw a question in the direction of Akademiks regarding the removal of a lyric under Jay-Z’s suggestion, he responded in kind by sarcastically plugging Mensa’s new project.

Check out Akademiks firing back on Vic Mensa in the clip below around the 4;55 mark. Let us know in the comments if Akademiks redeemed himself.
