Drug investigation results in arrest of Utica man

An investigation into the sale and distribution of cocaine on Wednesday resulted in a drug arrest, according to Utica police.

A search warrant was executed at 1003 Downer Avenue in Utica and over 9 ounces of cocaine, over two ounces of ecstasy (MDMA), and a loaded Taurus .357 handgun were recovered, police said.

Jamie Hubbard, 23, of Utica, was charged with felony fist-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, felony second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of misdemeanor seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of misdemeanor criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police report.

The METRO Unit was assisted by the US Marshal Service, police said.
