An enforcement at summer concerts by the Department of Motor Vehicles resulted in the arrest of dozens of people and seizure of dozens of fake IDs.

According to our news partner, News10NBC, DMV officials say they held enforcements over the past week at two Fall Out Boy concerts: at the Darien Lake on June 18 and another at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on June 23.

Officials say the enforcement uncovered 88 fake IDs that were seized. There were also 113 arrests for various offenses.

“SPAC and Darien Lake are summertime destinations for thousands of young music fans, which is why DMV and its law enforcement partners established ID checkpoints at these two events,” said Deputy Commissioner Thomas Higgins.  “Our ID checkpoints prevent underage concertgoers from obtaining alcohol and possibly becoming a danger to themselves and others."

News10NBC reports most of the fake IDs were purchased over the internet from foreign companies.
