RDAK beats Autolab

The defending champions RDAK Transporters kept on rolling as they beat Autolab, 40-30, to get a firm hold of the lead in the standings in Division B action of the 20th Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Cup on Wednesday at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue, Cebu City.

The win was the Transporters’ sixth in seven games to give them a lock of the top spot.

Joseph Reoma led the Transporters with 15 points to help send Autolab to the fourth spot with a 3-4 win-loss record.

While RDAK kept its winning streak going, Dynamic Power lost its second in a row getting beaten by  Caltex Delo, 46-48.

Dennis Que paced Caltex Delo with 19 points while Bantayan Vice Mayor Chad Canares chipped in 10 to even their record up at 3-3.

Dynamic Power, which dropped to 5-2, got 17 points from Roderick Mangubat.

In the division’s other game, White Gold Club notched its second win in seven tries as it dominated Filmon Finishing Studio, 68-31.

Junie Alejandro led all scorers with 15 while Edu Rama added 14.

Teddy Lee also scored 13 for the victors. Lester Canizares scored 11 for Filmon Finishing Studio but it was hardly enough to stop the squad from falling to its fifth defeat in six games.

In Division A, the reigning titleholders Petron Goldberry remained unbeaten in six games after escaping with a 62-58 victory over the RDAK Stallions.

Bayfront Hotel Cebu also gained a share of third place alongside Gaisano Capital after trouncing Chick@Phil Basic, 75-43.
