Cebu City Treasurer Diwa Cuevas told the City Council that proceeds from the rental of the Cebu Sports Institute facility in barangay San Nicolas were not remitted to the city’s coffers since it opened last year.

Executive Director for Sports Commission, Mark Aliño told the council that he already asked the facility’s supervisor, Charlie Reyes to submit a liquidation of all the income and expenses of the Cebu City Sports Institute.

A day’s rental of the facility costs P700 including the use of the lights. The users can also opt without the lights at a cost of P300.

Cebu City Councilor Margot Osmeña wondered why they have not filed charges against Reyes but Cuevas said they are still trying to verify the situation.

Reyes has not been receiving his salary and submitted his resignation but it was disapproved pending the resolution of this issue.
