Travelers, especially those leaving Cebu, need not go far from the airport to buy duty free imported goods with the opening yesterday of the third Duty Free Philippines Corp. outlet at the newly renovated Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Departure Store.

Wanda Teo, Tourism Secretary, led the inauguration of walk-through store, which promises travelers an “exceptional shopping experience.”

The new store boasts of an expanded range of merchandise, which include perfumes, cosmetics, confectionary, cigarettes and liquors.

The store’s smarter design, wider aisles and wider space for product display also provide comfort for travelers, who shop prior to their departure.

This newly opened Duty Free outlet is among the redeveloped Duty Free stores nationwide.

The other Duty Free Philippines outlets in Cebu are located in SM City Cebu and the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Duty Free Philippines Corp., which runs the Duty Free Philippines stores, is an attached agency of the Department of Tourism.
