It’s a school showdown: Cranbrook versus Country Day. The longtime rivals are facing off in a “loose change challenge” to help kids in Africa.

In 2014, members of the Suite Dreams Project and their teenage daughters traveled to the Pokot region in Northwest Kenya for a dorm dedication ceremony. The organization had raised money to build the dorm at an orphanage to house girls wanting to escape marriage. That’s when they saw their school, and knew they had to do something.

Upon returning, the teenagers, who attend Cranbrook and Country Day, started R-turn.  The goal, to inspire kids to give back. Their first big project was to raise money to build a school for the kids they met in Kenya.
