USEF Names U.S. Driving Team For 2018 WEG

The U.S. Equestrian Federation has announced three combinations for the U.S. Driving Team for the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games, which takes place Sept. 11-23 in Mill Spring, North Carolina. Following the 2017-2018 Selection Trials period, the following combinations of the U.S. Driving Team were recommended to the USEF Board of Directors for consideration to be named to the definite entry list.

The following combinations have been named to the U.S. Driving Team for the WEG (in alphabetical order):

James Fairclough (Newton, New Jersey) with Bento V, his 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Caletta 5, his 16-year-old Austrian Warmblood mare; Citens, his 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Dapper, his 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; and Zenden, his 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Misdee Wrigley Miller (Lakewood Ranch, Florida) with Beau, her 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Bravour 54, her 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Bolino D, a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Calipso 86, her 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; and Daan 8, a 10-year-old KNHS gelding

Chester Weber (Ocala, Florida) with Asjmenou, a 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Splash, Jane Clark’s 15-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; First Edition, his 2009 Dutch Warmblood gelding; Reno, his 9-year-old Hungarian gelding; and Boris W, his 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Additionally, the following combination has been named as the reserve to the U.S. Driving Team for the WEG:

Allison Stroud (Kennett Square, Pennsylvania) with Anesco 4, Willow Star LLC’s 13-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Ulco, Willow Star LLC’s 17-year-oldDutch Warmblood gelding; Olando, Willow Star LLC’s 22-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; Enzo, Willow Star LLC’s 9-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding; and George W, Willow Star LLC’s 7-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding
