The Production Supervisor role is a dynamic position that includes front-line supervision on the shop floor, production management, and administrative responsibilities for our single shift operation.  Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the Production Supervisor will manage day-to-day activities and our team on the shop floor.  We have a very stable environment, with many of our team members having been with us for 20+ years.

Kusel Equipment is one of Wisconsin’s longest-standing companies and has been manufacturing cheese-making equipment and stainless-steel drainage systems since 1849.

What will you do as the Production Supervisor?

  • Supervise production employees; including hiring/firing, approve time cards, vacations, human resource duties, etc.
  • Develop production department and employees; including training and documentation
  • Review/prepare job paperwork and prints for production
  • Implement production schedule and distribute work
  • Coordinate changes with engineering, purchasing, and sales teams
  • Develop, deploy, and document work flow processes
  • Champion the company culture and empower production employees
  • Manage Shipping/Receiving and physical shop space and setup
  • Assist with quality program, inspections and safety
  • Inventory and requisition of supplies
  • Coordinate inside and outside maintenance of equipment
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need to be successful as the Production Supervisor?

  • 5 years of production supervision experience
  • High School diploma or GED; trade school preferred
  • Experience in a metal fabrication shop; stainless-steel preferred
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
