The Production Supervisor role is a dynamic position that includes front-line supervision on the shop floor, production management, and administrative responsibilities for our single shift operation. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the Production Supervisor will manage day-to-day activities and our team on the shop floor. We have a very stable environment, with many of our team members having been with us for 20+ years.
Kusel Equipment is one of Wisconsin’s longest-standing companies and has been manufacturing cheese-making equipment and stainless-steel drainage systems since 1849.

What will you do as the Production Supervisor?
- Supervise production employees; including hiring/firing, approve time cards, vacations, human resource duties, etc.
- Develop production department and employees; including training and documentation
- Review/prepare job paperwork and prints for production
- Implement production schedule and distribute work
- Coordinate changes with engineering, purchasing, and sales teams
- Develop, deploy, and document work flow processes
- Champion the company culture and empower production employees
- Manage Shipping/Receiving and physical shop space and setup
- Assist with quality program, inspections and safety
- Inventory and requisition of supplies
- Coordinate inside and outside maintenance of equipment
- Other related duties and projects as assigned.
What do you need to be successful as the Production Supervisor?
- 5 years of production supervision experience
- High School diploma or GED; trade school preferred
- Experience in a metal fabrication shop; stainless-steel preferred
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees
