The subject of the talk was Cohen’s new book (with co-author Allen Mikalien), “The Privatization of Everything: How the Plunder of Public Goods Transformed America and How We Can Fight Back.” In the book, Cohen chronicles the destructive trend under which so many of our public institutions have been converted into private profit centers – almost always to the detriment of the common good.
