‘No more Israel’
Henry KISSINGER. Former secretary of state. Current savant of the state of the world. Do not argue with Mr. Kissinger’s know-how. He already knows how. Middle East horror. Democratic party dissing Jerusalem. DC’s anti-Israel mentality. Obama, busy raising re-election funds, no time for beleaguered Netanyahu. The Oval Office attitude versus the Red Line. Iran’s oath to destroy our only friend in that part of the world. Reported to me, Henry Kissinger has stated — and I quote the statement word for word: “In 10 years, there will be no more Israel.” I repeat: “In 10 years, there will be no more Israel.”

Israeli forces shocked residents in Al-Tur on Thursday when a raid on Shamile school was attempted. Students, staff and residents mobilized quickly to protect the school, with a call issued from the mosque’s speakers rallying the people of Al-Tur to hold back the armed forces. Israeli forces launched the raid claiming that school students had thrown stones at them from the street. Horse-mounted police and undercover units surrounded the school, locking its gates. A student’s mother told Silwanic that: “We ran to the school as soon as we heard the call from the loudspeaker. When we arrived, we saw them locking the main gate to the school, while on the other side a unit was attempting to break the gate.” A 19-year old university student was searched and arrested by police, who attempted to strip-searched him in public. Residents managed to stop the search by surrounding the police with cameras. Israeli police issued traffic fines to over 20 vehicles parked in the school car park, several of them belonging to teachers. The Parents Committee announced a strike across Municipality schools in response to the attempted raid. The raid is the most recent in a targeting of schools and their students, who are often searched, physically assaulted or arrested by Israeli forces on the way too and from class. Last week a guard at the girls school of Al-Tur was stopped by police and denied access to the school before being arrested. He was detained for one day then sentenced to a week of house arrest and ordered to pay a fine. Two students were also attacked and threatened with arrest by Israeli forces earlier in the day.

Palestinians Cannot Be Relegated to Margins of Own Liberation Struggle
Anna Baltzer is National Organizer at the US Campaign. She gave this talk at an event entitled “The Jewish American Relationship with Israel at the Crossroads.” Thank you so much to OR Books, Vera List Center, Adam Shatz, and the others who organized this event. It’s an honor to be here. I’m excited to be here and by the topic of this event because I believe we are at a crossroads, not just in terms of Jewish American feelings towards Israel — as Dr. Finkelstein has meticulously documented in his book — but also the place of Jewish voices in the movement. There is no question that there is a monumental shift happening among American Jews, with increasing numbers coming out against Israel’s occupation and apartheid policies against the Palestinian people. This is largely a generational shift, driven by young people, who have become allies to the cause even as their parents repeat the same tired arguments they did decades ago about Israel’s moral superiority and lack of a partner for peace.
No Justice at Qalandiya, Tamar Fleishman
‘This is what’s on the agenda now at Qalandiya’, a Palestinian man rightly said. For over two weeks the place has been burning. On the week of the 12th anniversary of the start of the El-Aqsa Intifada, on the day of the murder of the child Muhammad A-Dura, during the days that mark the October 2000 Events, the situation at Qalandiya seems to be on the verge of explosion. I talked about the symbolism of these dates with a friend that in a comradely gesture offered me help by handing a cloth soaked with alcohol, so as to ease the burning sensation from the gas fumes. He said he thought the youngsters weren’t aware of this coincidence. I don’t know, but I saw their faces and they were raging and their body language spoke of determination and they acted with defiance when throwing stones at the checkpoint which is the symbol of occupation.
Christian Zionists Back Israel’s Risky Policy Decisions
Christian Zionists increasingly act as if they were religious Jews until the End. They refer to the year 5773; many have changed their day of Sabbath from Sunday to Saturday; some have made aliyah through the use of suspect Jewish ancestry, or are on indefinitely renewed tourist visas; they donate millions of dollars indirectly to settlements activity and provide various IDF battalions military equipment; their national allegiance is seemingly stronger to Israel than America, as illustrated by their condemnation of US policy that criticizes Israel because Israeli policy is understood as God sanctioned and therefore infallible; and they make pilgrimages to Israel less to celebrate Christ and more to “witness the incoming” of Jews to Israel.
Antony Lerman has incurred the wrath of influential Zionists for challenging their bigotry.
Kissinger may be a war criminal, but he isn’t stupid.
The Lerman book sounds like it would be a really good look at how Jews are “raised with zionism” so to speak, and how some with plain common sense and normal awareness later reject it.
I so agree with ……”As he points out, there is a certain nexus between Zionism and anti-Semitism. Approvingly summarizing the thesis of academic Idith Zertal, he writes: “It was in Zionism’s interest that Jews outside Israel were discriminated against, as this legitimized claims that Zionism was the only long-term solution to the Jewish question … [these] arguments made it easier to understand why Israel used anti-Semitism for political purposes, a point I had been making for some years” (179).
What if anti semitism was removed from the dictionary?…..what if talk of the holocaust passed away into ancient history?. Would it bring back discrimination and persecutions of Jews if that history was nothing but the same kind of footnotes as all other people victim-episodes in mankind?
I don’t think so…I think it would ‘normalize’ the Jews. …not make them ‘objects’ or “subjects.”
But Zionism cannot survive without ‘viva la’ difference’ of the Jews……good reason to relegate the anti semitism holy grail to the trash bin.
I think it is helpful overall to know about and discuss the Holocaust because it is a good example of persecution and people should know that it is wrong.
However, I also think that abuse and misuse of the Holocaust to the goal of nationalistic or religious domination is very bad.
I assume that in ten years there will still be an Israeli state, since it has nuclear weapons. However, the condition of the state depends to an important extent on its relationship to the US as well as the powers of the US itself.
A few flags should have been raised by the source, NY Post gossip columnist Cindy Adams, and the proximity of this quote to world-rocking updates on Harvey Weinstein, Katie Couric, and Mariah Carey. While this demonstrates again that the mainstream press is filled with morons, liars, and propagandists — shouldn’t we all be a wee bit suspicious of an apple like this before biting into it?
I can’t turn up the specific quotes at the moment, but I do recall that Kissinger has previously made statements that are similar to this. Kissinger is plugged into the highest levels of American national security thinking, and he may be hearing things that are not yet available to the American public at large.
Actually, it is no secret that important members of the CIA, DIA, NSC and related agencies, and their European counterparts, strongly believe that Israel is currently on a suicidal course. When you crunch all the numbers, the inevitable consequences of Israel’s self-destructive behavior couldn’t be more obvious.
