Forbes asked four renowned travel specialists about the 20 best places to go in 2021.

Kimberly Wilson Wetty of Valerie Wilson Travel recommended South Africa. Why? ‘It’s the best of all worlds,’ says Wetty. ‘Enjoy city life, vineyards and safari all in one trip. Nothing beats a trip to South Africa.’

Her highlights included the bustling hub of Cape Town for its dynamic food and design scene, the historic sites in Johannesburg, water sports on the coastline of the Indian and Atlantic oceans and of course, the renowned safari camps of Kruger National Park.

Condé Nast has also released the results of the Readers Choice Awards for the Top 20 countries in the world, and yours truly came in at a stunning number 8. The publication’s readers also voted South Africa as a top holiday destination for 2021.
