Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I first met Peggy when she joined the Church at Pine Ridge. A few years later some of the church ladies started a quilt group. We had such fun and learned a lot about each other as we developed lasting friendships. Her organizational skills kept us all in line! I think this poem says it all. "A limb has fallen from the family tree that says 'Grieve not for me, remember the best times, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived, While I was strong!" She was a dear friend, who will be greatly missed. Deepest sympathy to the family! - Posted by: Dale Drysdale ( friend) on: Apr 13, 2023

  • It was a pleasure knowing Peggy. She was a kind, caring person, and I was always happy to see her at Exchange Club meetings and at quilt gatherings. - Posted by: Carol Carver (Friend) on: Apr 11, 2023

  • I was very fortunate to have Peggy Kulczycki on staff at Marion School for close to ten years. Peggy genuinely cared for students and staff. She supported and worked diligently for them to be successful. She enjoyed celebrating, recognizing others, and having a fun time in doing so. Her knowledge and quest for lifelong learning made her an exceptional teacher. She was supportive and always so kind. Her organizational skills were exceptional. Peggy Kulczycki loved and demonstrated great care and concern for all members of her own family. My sincere condolences to Mike and family. - Posted by: Julie Douville (Friend & Former Principal) on: Apr 10, 2023

  • Deepest sympathy on Peggy’s passing. I had the honour and pleasure of working with her in the St. Boniface and then Louis Riel School Divisions. May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Josie Landry - Posted by: Josie Landry (Friend ) on: Apr 06, 2023

  • I always loved working with Peggy with her students in the classroom. She worked so hard to develop the best programs for her students and added making quilts and other special treats with her students. Peggy was a loving wife and mom to her children and grandchildren. She could never do enough and was always filled with happiness, love and encouragement for others. It is a deep loss to be without Peggy. Prayers and hugs are sent to her wonderful family. - Posted by: Pat Trottier (Colleague and Friend) on: Apr 05, 2023

  • My friendship with Peggy began when we were both teachers at Marion school in North St. Boniface. Peggy was the Resource teacher; I an Early Years teacher teaching mostly kindergarten and grade one. In her role as a resource teacher Peggy was always there supporting her teaching colleagues. This support of fellow teacher involved advocating for children. She spent many hours filling out forms and writing letters to obtain grant money for programs that supported children's learning. When as a kindergarten teacher I wanted to start a home reading program for my students Peggy was right there supporting me. Under her guidance this program evolved to include grades one and two, and the bags contained math and science activities as well as reading activities . Peggy was a lifelong learner; in 1994 we attended a two week course on teaching reading in New Zealand. Peggy was a great travelling companion. we both returned home with new ideas and many wonderful memories. Memories that I treasure today - Posted by: Lenore Linton (Colleague and friend) on: Apr 03, 2023

  • My deepest sympathy to Peggy's family at this very sad sad time. Peggy was a dear friend and colleague for many many years. Her greatest loves were her family, her students, her church, and her creation of beautiful handicrafts. She was a strong resilient woman who faced challenges with optimism and determination and a strong sense of humor. She will be missed and remembered lovingly by hundreds of people who were privileged to know her. Lois Maclennan - Posted by: Lois Maclennan (Friend) on: Apr 02, 2023
