Every time I watch an old movie on TCM I think of Lila and how much we loved them. I remember going to the Strand Capital to see White Christmas with her.
A huge loss she was to the library staff.

Dear Brian and family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy. Lila was a wonderful person and I will always treasure getting to know her at the Historical Society. Her love of history and passion for family research was unsurpassed, except for the love she had for her family and her critters. We shared many stories about dear 'ol Felton and it's many colorful old time residents.
Thank you, Lila, for helping me discover the love and satisfaction of family history.
God speed this dear soul.

I worked at the history center with Lila from 2000-2006 and it was a friendship I cherish to this day.
She helped me with establishing a family history of my grandfathers family(Hake) and accepting many documents, photos and letters relating to him and his contributions to York business and government.
We shared a love of old movies and ILove Lucy.
Her dedication to the library will be missed for certain and among those who knew her.

I am so sorry to hear this! Lila helped me climb our family tree so often over the years, and I had the joy of knowing her for the month I spent researching in the YCHT. I missed connecting with her when I was back last May...not realizing it was so serious...So I'll treasure my memories of her beautiful energy when she was in good health. Big XOXOX to everyone who will miss her sweet presence in this life XOXOX
